EVENTS & FUNDRAISING
Held each year during Soda Springs’ 4th of July celebrations, the Book & Plant Sale is a community favorite that combines a plethora of books for sale and plant starts from our friends’ home-gardens. This event helps raise essential funds for library programs, materials, and improvements, while also giving gently used books a second life. It’s more than a fundraiser—it’s a tradition that connects community, promotes literacy, and celebrates our country & library. It’s a gathering place during Soda’s biggest celebration!

Our Mini Golf at the Library event transforms the library into a fun, interactive course—typically held in the spring—bringing families, kids, and community members through the doors in a whole new way. Each hole is creatively designed and often sponsored by local businesses. We started this event in 2025, and it’s quickly becoming a favorite!

The Festival of Trees, traditionally held the Saturday before Thanksgiving, is the Friends of the Library’s largest annual fundraiser and a beloved holiday tradition in Soda Springs. Local businesses, organizations, and individuals donate beautifully decorated trees, wreaths, and displays that are auctioned to support major library projects—like the current “Elevate” upstairs refresh. This event not only generates critical funding, but also brings the community together in a festive, meaningful way. For the Friends, the Festival of Trees represents the power of community support.
